DEAS Group acquires Good Monday

24.03.2022

The DEAS Group accelerates its digital development by launching the concept ‘DEAS Studio’ and acquiring the office management platform Good Monday.

The DEAS Group has entered into an agreement on acquiring Good Monday, a company that offers a single point of contact for simplifying office managers’ workflows and relations. Good Monday will continue to service its current customers and suppliers, but expects to expand its base now that it’s part of the DEAS Group.

The acquisition comes as part of an ongoing digital innovation strategy which the Group’s CEO Rikke Lykke launched last autumn.

“The DEAS Group is focused on innovation and digitalisation on many fronts. We want to provide advice and develop new value propositions for and with our property investors. That’s why we’re now launching ‘DEAS Studio’, our innovation concept. This is our ‘licence to innovate’ together with our property investors, tenants and others. And with the acquisition of Good Monday, we’re speeding up this development significantly. Good Monday’s employees will play a key role in expanding and upscaling the good service that Good Monday can offer to a large number of commercial tenants. The Good Monday acquisition is the first step on our innovation journey, and other initiatives are in the pipeline.” Rikke Lykke, Group CEO, DEAS.

“I’m extremely proud of the Good Monday team. We identified a clear gap in the market for a central system to manage all services from one single place and adapt to the new climate in the office world, and in particular the new hybrid way of working we all are looking into. This created Good Monday, as we know it today and our digital platform delivers a daily service that makes a difference to our clients. I’m very happy that the DEAS Group will help Good Monday continue our journey, because they have the necessary muscle and channels to make it happen.” Mik Strøyberg, Founder of Good Monday.

Good Monday has a strong value proposition for commercial tenants

Good Monday is a two-sided marketplace that collects the digital tools office managers need to ensure that their office environments and workplaces run smoothly. It makes it easier for the managers to run their offices while allowing Good Monday to promote relevant service providers and their solutions, such as Frugtkurven, Jespers Torvekøkken, Betterbox and Greenify. Good Monday’s customers are well-known brands such as Pleo, Planday, Workday and Miinto.

“Good Monday should be given space to keep doing what they’re best at. We look forward to bringing our expertise to the table and giving our employees the chance to learn more about the kind of dynamic and agile innovation culture in tech startups like Good Monday.” Nadim Stub, Group Vice President, Ventures & Partnerships, DEAS.

Properties to be positioned as unique products

The pandemic has accelerated the megatrends that started emerging before 2020. Sustainability, social accountability and ‘easy living’ are high on the agenda for all property investors and tenants.

In the DEAS Group, we’re focused on contributing to and creating digital innovations that can put us at the forefront of the property industry. Among other things, we’ll focus on positioning the properties we manage as unique products with strong new value propositions. And Good Monday will play an important role in this.” Rikke Lykke, Group CEO, DEAS.
